No mercury and cadmium added

Does that mean there's no mercury added and no cadmium added? Or does it mean that there's no mercury added but cadmium has been added? Or does it mean either one of them may have been added, but not both? That is my second post title that I read off a battery. I can't help it, there's lots of batteries sitting around the computer, it's the first thing I see when I'm looking for a title. Very curious, that is.
