I think he might be a retard (or something)

Ahhhhh! This is crap. Now I'm not posting on my blog as frequently and it's all just gonna turn gay. A week here and there of not posting is how it starts... next thing you're, um... a retard or something. The use of the phrase 'or something' to somehow qualify a sentence is highly underrated. For instance, if you say "He stood on a land mine", then you look silly if he turned out to not have actually stood on a land mine. However, if you add a sense of uncertainty (and outrageous comicality) to your sentence by adding the oft-used but oft-unappreciated 'or something', to end up with "He stood on a landmine or something", it instantly brings your statement way up there in the credibility and funniness departments, which are both very important in their own right, while also saving you from a potentially embarrasing situation if indeed it were later proven that you had been wrong in making the initial statement. I, if no one else, will appreciate the use of this device in everyday conversation, and as such points may even be awarded on the odd occasion for the skilful deployment of this grammatical gem.

I'm glad I'm not in charge of asians.
